Senior Rebekah Hartzell officially signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ for Fall 2026. Rebekah is the leading all-time scorer for the South Wake Sabres girls basketball program with 1650+ points and counting. She is the FIRST player in program history to sign with a Division I basketball program.
Rebekah Hartzell on why she chose Rider:
I felt called to go on faith, and trust it was where I belonged. Rider was the best fit on paper…the coaches, financially, academically, and athletically. I’m excited to be a part of re-building something great. The staff was always on the sideline at our games this summer. I felt like they really wanted me. They have a great vision for what they want for the future, and I feel like I really fit into that. It’s free college at a place where I could immediately make an impact.
